Memphis Depay a big hit among Man Utd supporters

His form may have hit a bit of a rough patch of late, but Manchester United man Memphis Depay has still emerged as the Premier League’s top-selling replica shirt between the start of July and the end of September.

According to Kitbag sales figures, Memphis has proved to be the most popular personalised replica shirt in the Premier League so far this summer, with the Dutch winger pipping United teammate Bastian Schweinsteiger and Chelsea star Eden Hazard into second and third spot respectively.

Elsewhere in the Top 10, Wayne Rooney, Sergio Aguero, Alexis Sanchez and Philippe Coutinho also make appearances, with sales of the Liverpool playmaker’s shirt rocketing by some 440 percent over the last 12 months.

That said, all of the Premier League boys are still trailing far behind La Liga’s twin behemoths, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi occupying the top two slots by a comfortable distance. No real surprises there.

For what it’s worth, Pedro’s name and number has seen the biggest bump in sales, with the Spanish forward’s £27million move to Chelsea in August sparking a massive 1,460 per cent increase from last year.
