Lanre Gentry begs Mercy Aigbe to drop battery case, reports say

Lanre Gentry, the hotelier husband of actress Mercy Aigbe may be prosecuted by the Lagos State Government which has begun investigations into allegations of battery leveled against him by his wife.

According to reports, the actress has tabled her case before the Lagos Ministry of Women Affairs for investigation and prompt prosecution of her better half over alleged battery and assault.

“I am commenting on this based on your manner of approach, so please I’d like my privacy to be respected. Truly, the case is with us here,” a source from the ministry who pleaded anonymity said.

Continuing, the source added that; “It was reported here by the victim herself, and because of the governor’s zero tolerance for domestic violence, we are as a matter of urgency investigating the whole drama. It is a good thing that it has also been brought to the public eye.

“We’re still very much on top of the matter and we’ll get it to its logical conclusion,” the source added.

A CT scan conducted at St. Solomon Health Care Limited showed that Mercy suffered a head fracture after she was battered by her husband.

The actress had to go through the check-up for swellings or fractures within the head, usually caused by blunt forced trauma and the conclusion of the CT scan reveals that Mercy suffered fracture on her left orbit with hermeation of orbital fat, medial rectus and left interior oblique muscles.

Mercy who according to her has been suffering and enduring domestic violence only made it public yesterday when news of her assault by her husband Lanre Gentry went viral.

So many conflicting reports, I’m even surprised the issue is on Lagos state government’s table. The couple denied the allegations together.

Mercy may have pretended all was well for the sake of that interview while she knows what to do within her or the husband might even threatened her before the interview. Women can be pretentious especially when they are uncomfortable

It is their family affair, I don’t give a damn about it. They should settle if they want too and if they are not settle, they should separate, anything they want to do, they should do it.

Enough of false report on this matter. Both of them have not separated and they are just doing well. If Mercy suffers bruises, then probably a home accident.
