Messi set to marry longtime girlfriend

Barcelona superstar, and Argentina international, Lionel Messi may have decided to get married to his longtime girlfriend Antonella Roccuzzo, according to Spanish media reports.

According to the reports, the joining of the duo will take place at a time convenient to Messi’s footballing career – which is either summer or winter of 2017.

The report adds that Messi and Miss Rocuzzo have been deliberating over the idea for quite some time, and that the star wedding will most likely be in Messi’s native Argentina, where he met Roccuzzo when they were both youngsters.

As it can be recalled, it was on the programme ‘Hat Trick Barça’, of the Catalan channel ‘TV3’, in January 2009 that Messi first made the relationship public.

They asked him “Do you have a girlfriend?” and Leo Messi replied “Yes, I have a girlfriend. She is in Argentina. The truth is that I am well and I am relaxed.” And from that moment, Antonella Roccuzzo, who always had a close relationship with Leo, was linked to the life of Messi. The model then moved to Barcelona in 2010.

They’ve had two children already, Thiago, four years old, and Mateo, one.

Definitely, a host of FC Barcelona club mates and staff are expected to attend the special day when it happens.
