Migrant crackdown in Germany targets North Africans

Migrants from North African countries are reported to be the main target of a crackdown by German authorities on migrants following a series of attacks on women in the city of Cologne in Germany which occurred on New Year’s Eve.

The German government has also warned that North African countries should forget about getting German development aid if they were not willing to take back failed asylum seekers.
It could be recalled that on Saturday, German police detained 40 North African men in Dusseldorf on
Police detained 40 North African men in Duesseldorf on Saturday which was followed by another incident about 50km from Cologne which saw police busting a pack of North African gangs suspected of pickpocketing, drug offences and mugging.
