It was party time for Super Eagles midfielder, John Mikel Obi, and his teammates as Chelsea defeated London rival Arsenal on Saturday.
Arsenal had two players sent off when they lost an ill-tempered derby 2-0 at Chelsea as the champions pulled out of their early-season slump with their first Premier League win for almost a month.
Mikel whose girlfriend recently gave birth to a set of twins, came in in the 90th minutes for Cses Fabregas, played in the last extra five minutes added by the centre referee.
Chelsea’s 20-year-old French defender Kurt Zouma headed the first after 53 minutes of a fractious game before an Eden Hazard shot deflected off Calum Chambers in stoppage time to make it 2-0.
Arsenal defender Gabriel was red carded for kicking out at Diego Costa just before halftime and Santi Cazorla was dismissed with a second booking for sliding in on former Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas after 79 minutes.
In Spain, Flying Eagles striker, Isaac Success, was in action for Granada in their 1-0 loss to Real Madrid in a La Liga match played at the Bernabue.
Success was however replaced by Robert Ibanez in the 61st minutes.
Also, Super Eagles striker, Anthony Ujah, couldn’t help his club Werder Bremen as they fell 1-0 to newly promoted side, Ingolstadt FC.
Ujah who was not considered for the two international friendly against Cameroun and Congo, was in action for the entire duration of the match.

Similarly, former Nigerian youth international Yusuf Olaitan Otubanjo has grabbed a hat-trick for Weiss Linz FC in the 5-2 win over SC Weiz in the Austria’s Regionalliga Mitte.
Otubanjo who was part of the Golden Eaglets that won silver when Nigeria hosted the FIFA U17 World Cup in 2009, has been impressive for his new club and has so far scored 14 goals in nine matches in the on-going season.
“I’m very happy with the victory on Friday and I really thank God for making it possible for me to score three goals against SC Weiz,” said the former FC Red Bull Salzburg’s striker after Friday’s win.
