John Mikel Obi emerged as victor as Chelsea walloped Kelechi Iheanacho’s Manchester City in the FA Cup at the Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Mikel started the game and was on the pitch for 82nd minute playing a pivotal role in the demolition of the former champions.

Chelsea is yet to lose a match under Guus Hiddink a spell that dates back to the Dutchman’s first stint at the club.

Iheanacho played for 90 minutes alongside another Nigerian-born player, Tosin Adarabioyo, but they both could not stop the rout. Iheanacho could not add to his four goals in the FA Cup but provided the assisted for David Faupala’s first half goal.

In Italy, Joel Obi played his second match since returning from a long injury layoff as Torino drew goalless at home with Capri on Sunday.

Ikechukwu Uche was not considered for action as his side, Malaga, drew 1-1 with Real Madrid. The former Getafe star has managed just six minutes of football since returning to Spain from Mexico during last transfer window.

There is still doubt over Simon Moses’ fitness as he was not even listed in Gent’s 5-2 loss at Oostende in the Belgian league on Sunday.
