Republican aspirant, Donald Trump has weighed-in on the Miss Universe mix-up which saw Steve Harvey, the host of the “Miss Universe” pageant, originally crowning Colombia’s Ariadna Gutierrez Arevalo as the winner before acknowledging he had made a mistake.

He later announced Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach of the Philippines as the winner and she was eventually crowned as the real winner.
Trump commented in a tweet that he would have named two Miss Universe winners had the mix-up happened on his watch.

“Very sad what happened last night at the Miss Universe Pageant. I sold it 6 months ago for a record price. This would never have happened!” His comments read.

Continuing, Trump said; “What happened to the girl from Colombia is devastating,” Trump said on the “Today” show. “I think I would make them co-winners. It would be very cool.”

He acknowledged that incident was a “terrible error” but conceded that such mistakes can happen on live television. He praised Harvey, calling him “terrific” and a “great guy.”
