MONEY RITUAL: 84-yr-old herbalist, 2 others to be hanged

Oluwafemi Fagbemi, 84, a herbalist has been sentenced to death by hanging by Justice Kudirat Akano of an Osun State High Court, Ilesa, for allegedly snuffing life out of one Jacob Ajayi for money ritual.

Reports say the clients of the 84-year-old identified as Tobi Ojo, Famutuwa Femi and Tope Olatunji (who approached him to make money ritual for them) were not also spared as they were slammed with death sentences by the court.

According to the prosecutor, the convicts were arraigned on two counts of conspiracy and murder “contrary to sections 324 and 319 of the Criminal Code, Cap. 34, Volume 2, Law of Osun State of Nigeria, 2002.”

While addressing the court, Mr. Abiodun Badiora, the counsel from Ministry of Justice told the court that the convicts committed the crime On April 13, 2012, adding that Ajayi was killed for money ritual.

“The headless body of deceased was recovered from a septic tank, but his genital and part of his leg had been removed.” Mr Abiodun said.
