IMO GUBER: Uzodinma has tough words for Okorocha

Obviously, the Imo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will descend more into crisis, as the governorship election fast approaches.

The APC in the state has announced the expulsion of its gubernatorial candidate, Hope Uzodinma from the party, a move bound to throw up a lot of political troubles and questions for the state.

This suspension was announced during a press conference at the party’s secretariat by the State working committee, led by the Chairman, Daniel Nwafor after Uzodinma was recommended for suspension by his local government.

Uzodinma was alleged to have been working against the interest of the party in sponsoring Senator Osita Izunaso, the senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for Imo West.

The party said, what he was doing goes against the ambition of Governor Rochas Okorocha who is the party’s flag bearer for the senatorial district.

He said, “Senator Hope Uzodinma has been sponsoring the All Progressives Grand Alliance Senatorial candidate, Senator Osita Izunaso instead of the APC Senatorial candidate in Imo West, Governor Rochas Okorocha .”

“He has also been running parallel exco in his Omuma ward and issuing party cards without recourse to party excos.”

“This is to inform you that the All Progressives Congress, Omuma Ward of Oru East Local Government Area in Imo State has expelled Senator Hope Uzodinma from the party due to certain inordinate and anti-party activities perpetrated by him and his cohorts.”

“The Imo State Working Committee of our great party has examined the processes and procedures of the sanction on Senator Hope Uzodinma by his Ward as affirmed by the Local Government organ of the party in Oru East.

“Conclusively, the State Working Committee satisfied with the procedures and decision of Omuma Ward, hereby affirm the expulsion order as well”.

Since the governorship primaries were conducted in the state, the party has been boiling over the ambition of Okorocha to have his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu take over from him as governor.

Meanwhile, Governor Okorocha has at different instances declared his support for Nwosu, who is now the governorship candidate of the Action Alliance in the state, after he dumped APC, when he failed to clinch the ticket there.
