Mos Def sent back from South Africa

American rapper Rapper Mos Def was sent back to the U.S. by a South African court for refusing to take off his turban from his head.

The bearded lyricist was also slapped with charges for trying to leave South Africa with a bogus passport after he presented a “world passport,” instead of his American passport.

The defiant Most Def returned with a loose scarf partially covering his head after being turned away by immigration authorities.

The world passport — technically called “World Government of World Citizens” — is not recognized by the country.
