Moses, Balogun make CAF overall Best XI in World Cup qualifiers

Super Eagles duo, Victor Moses and Leon Balogun, were named as part of the CAF overall Best XI for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, as announced on Thursday by the continental football body.

Moses and Balogun were instrumental in the Nigerian team that successfully secured the sole ticket to Russia from Group B that had Cameroon, Zambia and Algeria as its other teams.

In a 4-4-2 formation, CAF fielded Balogun as one of the centre-backs in the team and Moses as the right winger.

Egypt’s Mohamed Salah, Senegal’s Sadio Mane and Uganda’s Dennis Onyango were also included.

Two players each from Nigeria, Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia made the list, while Uganda, Senegal and Cote d’Ivoire have one each.
