Moses eager to return to play

Having been sidelined by a hamstring injury, Victor Moses was absent during Chelsea’s home clash with AS Roma in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The Super Eagles winger was hobbled off after 38 minutes in the game that saw the Premier League champions handed a shock 2-1 defeat at Crystal Palace last weekend.

Reports after the incident claim Moses is likely to face at least a month out, which means he will be missing in action in a busy October for Chelsea including Champions League, Carabao Cup and Premier League fixtures.

The 26-year old will also miss Nigeria’s final 2018 World Cup qualifier against Algeria on November 10.

But speaking on his injury hours before the Blues faced their Serie A opponents, Moses expressed his eagerness to return to the pitch with a photo on his Twitter handle.

“Gutted to pick up an injury. Working hard to get fit & back on the pitch as soon as I can! Good luck to the boys tonight come on the Chels #CFC, ” the winger wrote.

Chelsea will be hosting Watford this weekend in the Premier League, before playing against Everton in the Carabao Cup next Wednesday.
