Moses subbed on, Balogun benched as Chelsea beat Huddersfield, Brighton lose to Watford

Super Eagles and Chelsea winger, Victor Moses came in as a substitute as his club kicked off their Premier League campaign with a win.

The Blues thrashed their hosts Huddersfield Town 3-0, thanks to first-half goals by N’Golo Kante and debutant Jorginho, and a second-half third by Pedro.

In another Premier League encounter played concurrently, Watford defeated Brighton and Hove Albion 2-0.

Super Eagles defender, Leon Balogun was left on the bench throughout the encounter for Brighton, as a brace from Roberto Pereyra secured the win for home team Watford.

Elsewhere, Crystal Palace eased past newly promoted Fulham 2-0, while Bournemouth saw off new comers Cardiff City 2-0.

Earlier on Saturday, Newcastle United were beaten at home by Tottenham Hotspur, while 10-man Everton played 2-2 against promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers.
