Moses suffers hamstring injury, out for six week

Nigerian international Victor Moses has been ruled out for six weeks after suffering a hamstring injury during West Ham’s 0-0 draw with Manchester United on Saturday.

Moses hobbled off in the first-half of their stalemate as the Hammers avoided defeat at another of the Premier League heavyweights following wins at Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool.

The winger joins an ever-growing injury list with Dimitri Payet, Enner Valencia, Diafra Sakho and Manuel Lanzini all facing spells on the sidelines.

West Ham coach, Slaven Bilic bemoaned his team’s luck, but said the well-earned point at Old Trafford was made more special due to the lack of attacking options.

Speaking on the match, Charlie Nicholas said:
“We have to wait for a scan but it doesn’t look good,” he said.

“It’s not like cramp. I don’t know if it’s three, four, five or six weeks. It is painful to be without Dimi Payet, Enner Valencia, Diafra Sakho, Manuel Lanzini and now Victor Moses.

“It’s almost impossible to replace them. But we replaced them today and this point was well deserved. As it was done without those players, it makes it even bigger.”
