2 workers nabbed for hacking boss to death over cocoa farm

An Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State on Monday remanded a motorcyclist, Ibrahim Awwal, in prison for allegedly beating a man to death.

The Prosecutor, Inspector Oladele Adebayo, told the court that Awwal committed the offences on March 12 at 8.30 p.m. at Tedi Village, Onireke in Ojo, near Lagos State.

He said the suspect murdered his victim Titus Anaeme, 33, by beating him severely during a fight.

20-year-old Awwal was remanded by the Chief Magistrate O.O Olatunji in Ikoyi Prison after he issued out an order that the accused’s case file should be sent to the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions for advice.

The case was however adjourned until May 2.
