Against mound of challenges Osinbajo says FG has shown it can solve all of Nigeria's problems

Despite the numerous challenges facing the country presently, Acting President Yemi Osinbajo on Friday said that the Federal Government has proven it can solve all the problems of the country.

This is coming at a time thousands have been killed, and property worth billions of naira have been destroyed by the Boko Haram terrorist in the North East, herdsmen killings, agitations for breakup of Nigeria, hate speeches across the country and heightened clamour for restructuring among others have bedeviled the nation.

But according to Osinbajo, the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration has demonstrated since coming into office in 2015 that it can solve whatever problem that befalls Nigeria.

Osinbajo stated this during an interaction with journalists in Kigali, the Rwandan capital, where he attended the inauguration of the country’s President, Paul Kagame.

He said, “That is a theme that has gone through the African Union and it is very resonant that we must solve our own problems; that African can solve its own problems and I think African nations have begun to demonstrate that.

“We have shown in Nigeria that whatever problems we have, we can resolve them. We are doing so in the North-East, we are doing so with the humanitarian condition and all of that. We are saying that we can take leadership in various respects; leadership in our economy.

“We can handle the commanding heights of our economy and be directly involved in the destiny and future of our countries. I think the point that he (Kagame) made is an important one and it’s one that is being demonstrated all over Africa.”

Speaking earlier, Kagame said in his inauguration speech that Africa must look inwards as its governance and prosperity could not be outsourced.

Yeah, just normal political talk. The man is fast becoming more of a politician than a pastor.
