Mourinho lists eight Man United stars to be sold

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is ready to shake up his squad after an inconsistent start to the new season, with The Telegraph stating that eight Red Devils players are set to be sold.

The Red Devils were being tipped to challenge for the Premier League title this season and started the campaign well, but a defeat in the Manchester derby has sparked a run of poor form.

A draw at home to Burnley last weekend and defeat to Fenerbahce on Thursday night has put Mourinho under increasing pressure ahead of this Sunday’s clash with Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.

The latest report suggests that the Portuguese manager has lost patience with the squad that he has inherited and will ship out the deadwood.

Defenders Marcos Rojo, Matteo Darmian and Phil Jones are set to be shown the Old Trafford exit door along with wingers Memphis Depay and Ashley Young.

Central midfield trio Michael Carrick, Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger are also believed to be available for sale in January or next summer.
