The Nigerian equities market reversed the loss recorded in the first trading week in August to post a fairly profitable trading last week.

The bourse gained in three of the five trading sessions as the benchmark All-Share Index (ASI) rose +0.87% to close the week at 98,592.12 points from 97,745.73 points the previous week.

Also, investors gained N480.8 billion as market capitalisation rose to N55.9 trillion from N55.5 trillion the previous week.

This positive run was triggered by positive performances of stocks like MTNN, Zenith Bank, FBNH and Oando making them stocks to watch in the new week.

ZENITHBANK has traded a total volume of 1.56 billion shares—in 32,467 deals—valued at NGN 54.9 billion over the period, with an average of 24.7 million traded shares per session. A volume high of 111 million was achieved on May 31st, and a low of 4.86 million on May 17th, for the same period.
