Musa helps CSKA seal Champions League spot

Super Eagles star, Ahmed Musa was on target on the final day of the Russian Premier League season on Sunday as CSKA Moscow edged Anzhi 2-1 to seal Champions League spot.

It was the seventh goal in ten appearances for Musa, who only rejoined the club on loan in January from English Premier League side, Leicester City.

The forward opened the scoring on Sunday, before Arsen Khubulov leveled for the visitors in the 33rd minute.

Vitinho then scored what proved to be the winner for CSKA Moscow on the hour mark, as they clinched automatic qualification ahead of Spartak Moscow.

With the victory, CSKA finished second on 58 points and secure automatic qualification to the European elite competition of next season.

Also on Sunday, Lokomotiv Moscow were crowned league champions despite losing 2-0 away to Arsenal Tula.

Meanwhile, Spartak, who lost 1-0 at home to Dinamo Moscow, secured a Champions League qualifying round spot for finishing third on 56 points.
