Super Eagles assistant captain, Ahmed Musa, scored his sixth goal of the season to help CSKA to a 2-0 win over Dynamo Moscow on Sunday. The winger who captained the Eagles in their last two matches increased CSKA’s lead in the 77th minute after Pontus Wernbloom had put them ahead about 30 minutes earlier.
He is now the joint top scorer in the Russian top division.
Midfielder, Rabiu Ibrahim, is also in good frame of mind ahead of the friendlies after he scored his side, Trecin’s first goal in their 2-0 win over Zemplin Michalovce in the Slovakia league on Saturday.
The former Golden Eaglets star scored in the 31st minute of the encounter.
Also, former Nigeria youth star Macaulay Chrisantus came off the bench to score an 82nd minute goal as his Greek Super League side AEK Athens defeated Atromitos 1-0 on Sunday.
Similarly, Olanrewaju Kayode was on song for Austria Wien in a 2-1 win over hosts Rheindoare Altach on Saturday.
The former Maccabi Netanya of Israel striker scored in the 43rd minute to draw Austria Wien level in the match.
However, Anthony Ujah, Syvester Igboun, and Moses Simon were caged in matches for their respective clubs.

Ujah also failed to score as Werder Bremen slumped to a 1-0 defeat at Hannover. The Nigeria has just two goals to his credit in eight games so far this term.
In Russia, Igboun was on the pitch for 90 minutes for FC UFA in their 1-1 draw with Krasnodar on Saturday but he could not add to his two goals tally in the season. Simon was also on the pitch throughout but he was on the score sheet as his side, Gent romped to a 4-1 win against Club Brugge on Sunday.
Oboabona played for 90 minutes as Rizespor went down to a 3-2 home loss in the hands of Bursaspor in the Turkish league but Ogenyi Onazi was rooted to the bench in Lazio’s 1-0 win over Frosinone in the Italian Serie A on Sunday despite scoring in their 3-2 win against Saint-Étienne in the Europa Cup last Thursday.
