N.KOREA MISSILE LAUNCH: China places blame on US, S.Korea
The recent ballistic missile launch by North Korea which is seen by many as an apparent provocation has seen China blaming the action of Pyongyang led by the government of Kim Jong-Un, on US and South Korea.
China is pointing accusing fingers at the US and South Korea after it was initially criticised for not doing enough to pressure North Korea to drop its nuclear program.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said China opposed the launch, which violated U.N. Security Council resolutions that call for an end to North Korea’s nuclear and missile tests.

“The root cause of the (North Korean) nuclear missile issue is its differences with the U.S. and South Korea,” Geng told reporters at a regular briefing.
The missile which was launched as Trump hosted Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Florida, is believed to have flown about 500 kilometers (300 miles) before splashing down in international waters.
Moments after the missile was launched, US and South Korean officials condemn it and agreed to explore ways to suppress “North Korean provocations”.
Reports also revealed that Pyongyang got a call from the US National Security Advisor Michael Flynn (who has now resigned) requesting a call with North Korean leader after the missile was test-fired on Saturday.
