Nadal sets up Wawrinka final, eyes 10th French Open title
World number four Tennis star Rafael Nadal saw off Dominic Thiem in their semifinal clash on Friday to set up a French Open final against Stan Wawrinka on Sunday.
Nadal, who blew the world No. 7 away 6-3 6-4 6-0, is right on course to lift his 10th French Open title as he has just one crucial match left to win.
Thiem had beaten Novak Djokovic in the quarter-finals, but was bagelled in the final set and was simply second best throughout.
The King of Clay, Nadal, is thus back in the Roland Garros final for the first time since 2014. It is worthy of note also that he has won every French Open final he has played.

But this time, he will be facing Wawrinka, who battled past Andy Murray earlier on Friday and has won all three of his previous Grand Slam finals, including a 2014 Australian Open win over Nadal.
“I have been playing a great event but Stan [Wawrinka] has been playing unbelievable,” Nadal said after today’s victory.
“I saw him play earlier and he hit the ball super hard. I need to be at my best.”
Nadal, who has never lost in the semi-finals at Roland Garros, is now one more win away from becoming the first man to win a 10th title at one Grand Slam.
