Naira gains N42, trades N1,639/$ at official window

The Naira traded N1,639 to the dollar at the official window on Thursday.

Data from the official trading platform of the FMDQ Exchange revealed that the figure represents a N42.15 or 2.5 percent gain when compared to the N1,681 the currency traded for a dollar on.

Also, the total daily turnover increased to $244.96 million on Thursday up from $196.78 million recorded on Wednesday.

At the Investor’s and Exporter’s (I&E) window, the Naira traded between N1,700 and N1,635 against the dollar.
