Naira Marley regains freedom 14 days after being granted bail

Two weeks after being granted bail, Nigerian artiste, Azeez Fashola popularly known as Naira Marley has finally been released from prison custody.

A Federal High Court in Lagos had on May 30 granted his bail application.

The judge, Justice Nicholas Oweibo, set Naira Marley’s total bond at N2 million with two sureties in like sum.

Oweibo said the sureties must be a civil servant not below the grade 10 level and must have a landed property in a jurisdiction approved by the court.

After meeting his bail conditions, Naira Marley was on Friday released from custody.

In a video that is making the rounds on social media, the hip-hop artiste was seen in company of his mother and some other members of his crew.

Naira Marley was arrested and charged to court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on 11 counts of cyber crime.
