Napoli deny Higuain’s unsavoury statement on Ronaldo

Napoli were forced to release a statement as some rather unsavoury quotes made the rounds from Gonzalo Higuain about his former team-mate, Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to the Mirror, the club shot back at the quotes in Spanish Magazine, Don Balon.
“Napoli and striker blue categorically deny even he has been granted an interview with Don Balon.
“Therefore the sentences attributed to Higuain are considered false and without any foundation.”

Gonzalo Higuain has hit out at former Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.

“He has a lot of ego. If you don’t say he’s the best, he’s not your friend. Cristiano thinks he’s the best but he’s over-rated,” Higuain told Don Balon, via Sport.
The Napoli forward left Real in 2013 and claims Ronaldo was one of the reasons behind the move. He is, however, more complimentary of Argentina compatriot and CR7’s long-term rival Lionel Messi.
“I’ve shared a dressing room with Messi and one is nothing like the other,”he was quoted as saying.
