Nasarawa gov-elect, Abdullahi Sule, promises inclusive government

The Nasarawa State Governor-elect, Abdullahi Sule, has appealed to all the contestants in the just concluded election in the state to join hands with the All Progressives Congress (APC) government to move the state to the next level of development.

Speaking at a briefing in Lafia, the governor-elect dedicated his victory to Nasarawa people and others who contributed to his emergence as the governor of the state.

Abdullahi Sule has also promised to run an inclusive government that will recognise the opposition irrespective of ethnic, religious and political differences.

According to him, “the development of the state in which our campaigns were anchored on should be channelled collectively into a common pool for the overall development of our dear Nasarawa since all cannot be governor at the same time.

“As a people, I want to call on all and sundry to be collectively engaged and participate fully in our government towards more infrastructural development and drive the industrialisation of the state.”

Similarly, Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, has said the election of Sule as governor of the state is an indication that the people of the state want more infrastructural development.

Abdullahi, who won his re-election into the state House of Assembly stated this while speaking with newsmen in Umaisha, Toto Local Government Area of the state.

The speaker who expressed optimism that Sule would take the state to the next level also appreciated the people of the state for having confidence in the APC across the federation.

While congratulating the governor-elect, the speaker described Sule’s victory as well deserved considering his track records of achievements while in the private sector as well as the developmental strides of APC-led government in the state under the leadership of Umaru Tanko Al-Makura.

“We have hope and confidence in President Muhammadu Buhari, Abdullahi Sule, the Nasarawa State governor-elect. So, what is required is an enabling environment for him to succeed,” Abdullahi stated.

The speaker, therefore, enjoined candidates who lost in the elections and other members parties to accept the election results in good faith.
