Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, Thursday confirmed two fresh cases of COVID-19 in the state.

The governor, who disclosed this at a press briefing in Lafia, said the patients were two ladies who returned from Lagos recently.

The patients, according to him, have been taken to an isolation centre in the state.

Governor Sule: “Since the advent of COVID-19, Nasarawa State government has taken measures to curtail the spread of the pandemic in the state. One of the measures is to isolate our citizens who are returning from high- risk states.

“Currently, we have 40 of such people who are quarantined at the State Polytechnics in Lafia.

“We took samples of those who showed symptoms of COVID-19, a total of 14 samples were taken and two of them are positive, which makes a total of three.
