Nat’l Hospital confirms Jonathan’s ex-CSO Obuah’s death

The former Chief Security Officer (CSO) to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr Gordon Obuah has passed away at the National Hospital, Abuja.

The authorities at the hospital confirmed that Obuah, a diabetic patient passed died on Thursday, same day he was brought into the Accident and Emergency Department of the Hospital, having suffered a heart attack.
Doctors said his remains have been deposited at the mortuary

Recall that Obuah, an operative of the Department of State Security (DSS) was arrested and detained by the service soon after Jonathan left office, having lost the election.
He was later dismissed from the service.

He was alleged to have had a hand in certain illegal oil deals in the Niger Delta, and complicity in the movement of large sums of funds meant for security.
While in detention, he embarked on a hunger strike, which made his health situation deteriorate seriously, even leading to rumours, and reports then that he had died in detention.

The DSS was forced to present him to Nigerians at a press conference to show the world that he was still alive, although journalist he was not allowed to receive questions from the reporters gathered.
