There is nothing as comforting as to know that there is always someone to share your burden with. Someone to rejoice with and to talk to. That is what marriage is supposed to provide – companionship.
Standing by the side of the road, in the evening and watching people hurry home, a lonely person couldn’t help but wish he had someone to hurry home to too.
It is important to create an easy relationship with your spouse. Make it easy to relax together. No matter how tough things are with you guys, there must be that period you sit together and keep each other company. It is precious.
The other day, I was buying something from a petty trader; she was pregnant, her first child obviously, judging by how young she was and also how tight the pregnancy was. Her young husband returned from work, he looked like an artisan. I enjoyed watching the way she left what she was doing to hug her husband. He also linger at her small stall to help her sell and arrange things.
I smiled knowingly. Young love. They still enjoy fucking each other every day. The marriage is still sweeting the man and he hurries home by five o’clock. Hope it would continue like that in the next five years. All the same, let her enjoy it while it lasted. The memory would keep her company when things get tough.
