2023: Tinubu, the Lion of Bourdillon gets the lion's share. Is his march to Aso Rock now sealed?

Officials of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday took sample from the National Leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for Covid-19 test.

Samples taken by the NCDC officials alongside that of Tinubu were those of his late Chief Security Officer, Alhaji Lateef Raheem and other close aides.

Tinubu’s media adviser, Tunde Rahman, who confirmed the development, said the APC leader submitted himself for the test as a precautionary measure.

Raheem, Tinubu’s late Chief Security Officer was said to have died of complications arising from diabetes and high blood pressure in Lagos last Friday.

He was buried the same day according to Islamic tradition.

But Rahman, Tinubu’s spokesman said that the sample of Raheem was taken for Covid-19 test before he was buried to ascertain he really died as a result of complications arising from diabetes.
