Super Eagles star, Wilfred Ndidi picked up an injury during Leicester City’s 5-0 defeat to Crystal Palace in a Premier League encounter at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

The midfielder, who has now featured in 33 league games for his side, could not continue playing barely six minutes into the second half, and was replaced by Aleksandr Dragovic.

Palace were two goals up before half time, after Wilfried Zaha opened the scoring on 17 minutes and James McArthur doubled the home side’s lead.

Nigerian forward, Kelechi Iheanacho was also on from the start for the Foxes, but was substituted at the start of the second half with Fousanne Diabate coming on for him.

Palace, who are fighting to avoid relegation, continued their dominace in the second half as Reuben Loftus-Cheek, Patrick Van Aanholt and Christain Benteke all found the back of the net.

They took advantage of having an extra man on the field as Leicester were reduced to 10 men from the 56th minute when Marc Albrighton was sent off for pulling back Zaha.

With the win, Palace are now eight points clear of the relegation zone.

In the other Premier League games played concurrently, Everton defeated their hosts, Huddersfield, 2-0; Burnley were held to a goalless draw by Brighton.

Southampton earned a 2-1 win over visiting Bournemouth while West Brom defeated their hosts Newcastle 1-0.
