Ndidi scores as Leicester City advance to FA Cup fifth round

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi scored his first goal for English Premier League side Leicester City in their 3-1 win against Derby County in the fourth round replay of the English FA Cup on Wednesday night.

The 20-year-old Nigerian, who was introduced in the first minute of extra time, after the visitors forced a 1-1 draw in regulation time, smashed in a left-footed strike from 25 yards in the 95th minute to put the home team 2-1 ahead.

The goal was a relief to his side, and it also broke the resilience of their opponents, before Demarai Gray added the third goal to give them a comfortable win at the King Power Stadium.

Ndid has made 6 appearances in all competitions for the reigning league champions, after moving from K.R.C Genk for £15m in January

Leicester will now play Millwall in the fifth round of the English FA Cup on Saturday, February 18 at The Den Stadium.
