NDLEA arrests 2 for attempting to traffic cocaine to Saudi Arabia

The Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Col. Muhammad Abdallah (retd.), on Friday said President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the recruitment of 5,000 personnel for the agency.

He said this while speaking at the public destruction of drug exhibits by the Taraba State Command of the agency in Jalingo, the state capital.

According to him, the gesture would go a long way in improving the operations of the agency in the campaign against drug addiction in the country.

Abdallah who lamented the increasing rate of consumption of illicit drugs among the youths in Taraba, appealed to families to live up to their responsibilities.

He noted that effective drug prevention must involve the positive engagement of children, youths and adults with their families, schools, workplace and communities.
