Netflix CEO donates $100million educational fund

The CEO of Netflix, Reed Hastings has announced that he will be donating the sum of $100 million to a fund focusing extensively on education related projects and organisations- a move which once more highlights the philanthropic efforts of the entrepreneur.

Hastings took to his Facebook page to make the announcement revealing his commitment to improving educational standards and experience among children.

“Currently, too many children do not have access to amazing schools. Our aim is to partner with communities to significantly increase the number of students who have access to rich and holistic educational experiences.” Hastings said in the post.

He also revealed that the fund, called the Hastings Fund, will donate $1.5 million for the United Negro College Fund and the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley.
