Head of federal service Oyo-Ita hospitalized after grilling by EFCC over N3bn scam

The Head of Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita, has returned to work after questioning by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over an alleged N3bn fraud.

Following her absence from the two-day retreat for the newly inaugurated ministers, there had been speculations that she had resigned from her role, after so much pressure from the EFCC.

EFCC had accused the HoS of using some companies as front to siphon N3bn from contractors, an accusation she strongly denies.

She had been absent from public functions after the EFCC grilling, but was present on Wednesday at the swearing-in of ministers.

Oyo-Ita, who arrived shortly before the commencement of the inauguration of the ministers by the president, was seen heading towards the office of the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari.
