Neymar and co win

World most expensive player, Neymar netted twice as Ligue 1 leaders, Paris St-Germain continued their impressive run with a 4-1 thrashing of Stade Rennes 4-1 on Saturday.

Having been suspended for last weekend’s win over Lille and being absent in their League Cup clash during the week, the Brazilian superstar marked his return with two goals and two assists to sweep away the home side.

Neymar, who now has 17 goals in 24 games in all competitions this season, struck in the opener after four minutes before setting up Kylian Mbappe to score about 13 minutes after.

Firmin Mubele got one back for the hosts, but Edinson Cavani fired in from a through ball by Neymar to make it 3-1, before Neymar then poked in a fourth.

Rennes’ Benjamin Andre received a second yellow card in the second half, and PSG centre-back Presnel Kimpembe was also dismissed for a foul inside the box late on.

The win takes PSG nine points clear of Monaco at the top of the table with 47 points from 18 games.
