Neymar nets brace as PSG go top with win

Brazilian star, Neymar scored twice on his home debut as Paris St-Germain thrash Toulouse 6-2 at Parc des Princes on Sunday to go top of Ligue 1.

Toulouse opened the scoring eighteen minutes into the game as Max Gradel volleyed home to put his side ahead, before world record signing Neymar equalised.

The Brazilian exchanged passes with Adrien Rabiot, whose shot was initially saved but Neymar scored from the rebound on 31 minutes.

Four minutes later, PSG got ahead of their visitors, as Neymar assisted to Rabiot fire in, before Edinson Cavani made it 3-1 from the spot moments after Marco Verratti was sent off.

Christopher Jullien’s header made it 3-2, but stunning strikes from Javier Pastore and Layvin Kurzawa settled matters before Neymar’s stoppage time goal.

The result moved PSG to the top of the table on goal difference, with Monaco and Saint-Etienne also maintaining their 100% winning records on matchday 3.
