NFF certifies Osimhen fit for Burundi

The Nigeria Football Federation has dismissed speculations that  Flying Eagles star striker, Victor Osimhen, has been ruled out of the May 21 CAF U-20 Africa Cup of  Nations  qualifier with Burundi in Bujumbura.

The Wolfsburg of Germany striker who scored the second goal in the 65th minute to give the Flying Eagles a slim 2-1 victory over the Samson Siasia tutored Dream Team, injured his left shoulder during last Thursday’s test match but doctor Ozi Salami said the player is fit for the crucial encounter.

“He fell awkwardly after the collision with the Under-23 defender but it is nothing serious as you can see,” Dr Salami told the media.

Osimhen trained alone on Friday evening as the coaches and medical team continue to access his fitness ahead of next weekend.
