Ngilari, Adamawa ex-gov charged and remanded in EFCC custody
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has charged and remanded the former governor of Adamawa State, James Bala Ngilari over a N167 million corruption allegation.

The High Court in Yola, Adamawa State, presided over by Justice Nathan Musa, on Wednesday, ruled that Ngilari and others involved in the case should be remanded in custody while he adjourned untilThursday for ruling on bail application.

The ruling came after Ngilari and others pleaded not guilty and their lawyers applied for bail on their behalf.
Ngilari was charged by the commission for the violation of procurement laws in the award of contract of N167 million to one El-Yadi Motors Limited for supply of 25 units of operational Toyota Corolla vehicles.

EFCC had levelled a 19-count charge against Ngilari, his former Secretary to the Sovernment, Ibrahim Andrew Welye and his former Commissioner of Finance and Budget, Sanda Jonathan Lamurde.
