A second-half goal by N’Golo Kante secured all three points for Chelsea in their Premier League clash with Crystal Palace on Sunday.
After a goalless first half, Kante scored the only goal of the game on 51 minutes and the Blues held on for the win.
The win increased the gap between Maurizio Sarri side and fourth-placed Arsenal, who fell to a 5-1 defeat to Liverpool on Saturday.
The Blues now have 43 points, five more than the Gunners. They are also one behind Manchester City and two behind Tottenham Hotspur.
Palace remain in 14th spot with 19 points.
