NGX: Investors record N216bn profit amid strong performances by Aradel, Conoil, Eunisell

Investors in the Nigerian equities market gained N216 billion on the trading floor of the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX) on Thursday, November 7, 2024.

This followed a surge in the share prices of stocks like ARADEL, CONOIL, EUNISELL amongst others on the trading floor.

After five hours of trading at the capital market, the equity capitalization increased to 58.731.83 trillion from 58.514 trillion recorded by the bourse yesterday.

The benchmark All-Share Index (ASI) increased to 96,924.86 from 96,567.24 recorded the previous trading day.

The market breadth was positive as 31 stocks advanced and 17 stocks declined, while 72 stocks remained unchanged in 9, 021 deals.

ARADEL, CONOIL, and EUNISELL led other gainers with 10%, 10% and 9.92% growth each in share prices to close at N441.20, N236.50, and N8.20 from the previous N401.10, N215.00 and N7.46 per share.

TANTALIZER, NGXGROUP, and WEMABANK led other price decliners with 6.25%, 5.81%, and 5.63% decline each in share prices to close at N0.60, N23.50, and N7.55 from the previous N0.64, N24.95 and N8.00 per share.

On the volume index, JAPAULGOLD led trading with 105 million shares in 87 deals followed by ELLAHLAKES which traded 92 million shares in 117 deals.

FBNH traded 70 million shares in 272 deals.

On the value index, JBERGER topped as the securities traded stock worth N4.5 billion in 104 deals followed by OANDO which traded equities worth N3.5 billion in 1,781 deals.

FBNH traded shares valued at N1.9 billion in 272 deals.
