#NDIGBO QUIT NOTICE: Niger Delta militants join in, demand FG retrieves oil blocks from northerners

Militant groups in the oil rich region of Niger Delta, under the aegis of the Coalition of Niger Delta Agitators, have vowed to resume bombings of oil installations if the Federal Government fails to carry out its promises to the people.

The group while decrying the insincerity of Government said they are tired of unfulfilled promises, development of the region only in the media, as well as Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo’s “unending meetings without follow-up actions”.

The group in a statement released on Sunday and signed by the leader of Niger Delta Watchdog, ‘General’ John Duku; ‘General’ Ekpo Ekpo of the Niger Delta Volunteers, ‘Commander’ Henry Etete of the Niger Delta People’s Fighters and ‘Commander’ Asuquo Henshaw of the Bakassi Freedom Fighters, stated that nothing had happened since the Pan Niger Delta Elders’ Forum (PANDEF) met with the President in November 2016.

Part of the statement read, “There is no more time; the Federal Government must act now and show seriousness and commitment to the plight of Niger Delta or we will be forced to resume attacks.

“We must make sure we liberate our people from the slavery of the Nigerian state. We believe that the Federal Government will not be surprised to see another crisis in the Niger Delta and they should not blame anyone if such happens.

“The Federal Government, under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari, is not sincere in resolving the Niger Delta crisis.

“We know very well that the visit of the Vice-President (then Acting President) to oil producing states was a big scam, camouflage, deceit and delay tactics by the Federal Government to achieve its normal daily crude oil production.

“We want to state here clearly that we are tired of all unfulfilled promises; we are tired of developing Niger Delta in the media, we are tired of the Vice-President’s unending meetings without follow-up actions.”

According to the group, militants in the region only ceased fire following pleas by PANDEF, and now that the Federal Government has remained adamant to the plight of the people, they have no other option than resume bombings.

This government is a joke, meeting held in November 2016, this is April 2017 no reasonable action. Militants, please go ahead and blow up some pipelines to show the federal government you people are serious.

I pity you as well. Don’t forget that most states are discovering oil now so if militants are not rational enough, the government will later forget them and concentrate on the new places where oil is discovered.

The niger delta militants need to find another hustle to develop their state of its a must. They cannot just be sleeping and waking up and expect the federal government to pay them for that. They should go to Lagos and see how their mates are hustling hard to have a reasonable life. The militants are simply lazy.

That’s just it, they are very lazy and have depended all their lives on the federal government. If all regiona are behaving the way they are, how will Nigeria improve? If they didn’t bomb pipelines and make oil scarce, Nigeria won’t be on recession today. They are the reason all Nigerians be are suffering and they still want the feeeral government to pamper them, who does that?

They are greedy too. So tell them to douse their demands. They are not the only people that made up Nigeria.
