NPFL bottom club Niger Tornadoes have confirmed the sack of their technical adviser, Erasmus Onu following the team’s poor performance so far this season.

The Minna club made this known via their Twitter handle, adding that Onu has been replaced with chief coach Hamza Abara pending the appointment of a new technical adviser.

“After due consultation during the rigorous meeting by the management of the club, we notify the public on the disengagement of our technical adviser Erasmus Onu over poor performance,” the club wrote.

“Our chief coach Hamza Abara has been notified to take charge of the team immediately pending the time we search for a coach suitable for the position of the technical adviser.

“We wish Coach Erasmus Onu all the best in his future endeavors,” the club tweeted.

Onu took over the team at the start of the season, and his last game in charge was a 2-0 away loss to Rivers United last Sunday.

Tornadoes occupy the last position in the table and will face Abia Warriors on match day 10 on Sunday.
