Nigerian Customs seize 661 automatic guns

Operatives of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) stationed in Lagos have seized a cache of arms made up of 661 automatic guns, Ripples Nigeria has gathered. The seizure was made on Monday.

Though details of the arms haul are still sketchy, the Comptroller-General, NCS, reading from a prepared document, said that a trailer was intercepted by his men around the Mile 2/Apapa axis of Lagos, and upon routine check was discovered to be carrying 49 boxes of pump-action rifles.

He said some arrests had been made, and that among those being detained were the Customs operatives who cleared the container. The agency, he said, was still in search of the importers of the items who had allegedly declared  the import as steel doors.

Only recently, the NCS handed over two helicopters to the Nigerian Airforce after the Rivers State government failed to meet the financial obligations required for clearing the items.

Despite banning importation of cars by land, these criminals still smuggled weapons into the country, are they preparing for war or what?

Yes, i am sure this is the handiwork of the biafrans promoter. They are acquiring weapons of mass destruction to destroy buhari’s government but they will always fail.

Until I read the full story, I might not be able to comment because I want to know who the importers of these guns are, or may be they are from Rivers state again like armoured aircrafts.
