The Federal Government has ordered security agencies to find the suspect who allegedly stabbed his neighbour, Elvis Omoiro, for celebrating the election tribunal victory of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Omoiri, a supporter of All Progressives Congress (APC), was stabbed repeatedly following an argument that ensued between him and his alleged attacker, Best Uduophori, in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.

The Buhari supporter got stabbed on his neck, head and other body parts after they got into a heated argument over the outcome of the tribunal.

Unconfirmed reports claimed that Uduophori was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who operates a pub around Okoloba area of the city.

Minister of State for Niger Delta Affairs, Festus Keyamo (SAN), on Saturday, stated that he had contacted the Divisional Crime Officer of the area.

He revealed that he also directed the police to ensure the arrest and prosecution of the suspect within the confines of the law.

Keyamo said, “I have already taken up this matter. I sent one of my SA’s to the hospital and asked them to send me all the medical bills.

“I also spoke with the victim and assured him of justice. I then contacted the DCO of Ekpan Police Station to ensure the culprit is arrested and brought to book.”
