Nigerian show promoter sues Rihanna
According to a report by TMZ, Nigerian promoter, Chris Ubosi is suing American pop star Rihanna through his company Megalectrics over a 2013 concert that got cancelled.
Chris whose company also owns BeatFM, Classic FM, and Naija FM alleges that he struck a deal with two people who claimed to represent Rihanna, as well as her label Roc Nation and its founder Jay Z.
The entrepreneur informed that he made three payments totaling $160,000 only for Rihanna to request a postponement. He agreed — on the condition that the 28-year-old would post the revised date on social media.
It never happened and Ubosi subsequently cancelled the show, demanding the money back and after waiting to get the money for three years, Chris has decided to file a lawsuit.
