Nigeria’s Kechi emerges 6th, as 12-yr-old is crowned AGT winner
Nigeria’s Kechi Okwuchi on Wednesday lost to 12-yr-old ventriloquist, Darci Lynne Farmer in the just concluded America’s Got Talent 2017, after emerging 6th, amongst the 10 finalist.
Kechi, one of the two survivors of the Sosoliso Airline Flight 1145 crash that claimed lives of other 107 passengers on December 10, 2015, said at the opening show, that music has always been an important part of her life and that during her recovery from the crash, music helped her heal.

The Nigerian born singer, whose performance through out the show was as inspiring and uplifting as her story, had the judges sing her praises. and millions of fans wishing her the very best of life.

Kechi Okwuchi is not outstanding, we have to be realistic. She’s good, but not enough to win the talent show

This is one of the biggest problems of Nigerians, we don’t appreciate what we have until they are being celebrated outside the country. I’m sure this your comment would have been more positive if she won the game show.

For her to have attempted the competition with her status, she tried. She’s also a winner because she conquered fear and a lot of negative words and feelings about herself. I respect her for that, she’s my winner
