Nigeria's U-20 team intensifies training for World Cup, set to invite more foreign based pros

The under-20 team of Nigeria are about now intensifying their training for the World Youth Championship in Poland next month, with the invitation of more foreign based professional football players.

Reports reveal that aside the eight foreign based players recently invited to the camp of the team in Abuja, nine more foreign based professionals will join the team at their training base in Germany.

Topping the list of foreign based professionals invited by coach of the team Paul Aigbogun include Villarreal rave of the moment Samuel Chukwueze and Bologna midfielder Kingsley Michael who ‎is on loan to Seria B side Perugia.

The duo are expected to be joined by at least five players of Nigerian descent born abroad who have decided to pledge allegiance to Nigeria ahead of the country of their birth for the U-20 World Cup.

Nigeria is expected to square up against Qatar, USA and Ukraine in the group stages of the U-20 World Youth Championship scheduled for next month in Poland.
