NJC leads Supreme Court judges to meet Buhari

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen, on Friday led a delegation of Supreme Court judges to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The NJC delegation of the apex court arrived at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa at about 12:40pm.

They waited at the chamber as the President was still having a meeting with the Ministerof state for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu, as at the time of their arrival.

While there are speculations that the meeting may not be unconnected with the need to weed the judiciary of corruption, which has remained the major campaign of Buhari’s administration, the real reason and agenda for the meeting was not yet known as at the time of this report.
