Nnamdi Kanu needs no permission from Aso Rock ‘cabal’ to return to Nigeria ―IPOB

Nnamdi-Kanu

The proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has stated that its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, does not need anyone campaigning for his return to bury his mother.

In a statement issued on Friday by Emma Powerful, IPOB’s Media and Publicity Director, the group further stated that Kanu does not need any form of permission from the ‘cabal’ in Aso Rock to return to Nigeria.

There are suspicions that security agencies may re-arrest Kanu, if he returns to Nigeria. Some southeast monarchs had appealed to the Federal Government to allow Kanu attend his mother, Sally Meme Kanu’s funeral.

The monarchs in Orlu, Imo State had also called on the United Nations to prevail on the FG to allow the IPOB leader bury his dead mother without molestation.

However, Powerful insisted that Kanu needed no permission to come into the country.

He claimed that an unnamed ‘cabal’ at the Presidency was surprised by the recent diplomatic feats Kanu had allegedly recorded.

“Recent decisive diplomatic advances recorded by our leader have taken them by surprise,” he said

“Our leader never asked anybody to campaign for his return to bury his mother.

“Why these busy-bodies would be poking their noses into a matter that does not concern him is beyond understanding.

“Nnamdi Kanu does not need to consult anybody to return here. Our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is yet to make his intentions public regarding his proposed visit.

“If and when that happens, they should be rest assured that no permission would be sought from the Aso Rock cabal that rule Nigeria or anybody else for that matter.”
